Jake Powers

Captain Ronald J. Drez (USMC)

Company President Ron Drez is a decorated Marine Captain and veteran of the Vietnam War and the Siege and great Battle of Khe Sanh. Ron is Stephen Ambrose’s handpicked choice as our lead historian. He has done extensive research in the field of American military history with Stephen Ambrose, touring the battlefields and interviewing hundreds of WWII Veterans together. To all the tours, Ron brings along intimate historic knowledge of the sites, a writer’s interest in analyzing the subject and a warrior’s enthusiasm for tramping the battlefields. He is the best-selling author of Twenty-Five Yards of War, Remember D-Day, Voices of D-Day and Voices of Valor.
Ron is also the lead historian for our D-Day to the Rhine, Italian Campaign, Iwo Jima and Lewis & Clark Tours. He also leads our Civil War and Vietnam Tours, when available.



Jake Powers

Jake Powers

Jake Powers is the Official Company Historian for Easy Company and is the foremost authorities on the subject of the 506th PIR/101st Airborne and Company E. He was the first Honorary Member of Easy Company. Jake acted as the Historical Consultant to the HBO mini-series “Band of Brothers” and documentary “We Stand Alone Together”. He has recently completed the “photographic history of Company E” and has contributed to numerous historical publications including WWII Magazine’s “Band of Brothers” special editions, and several other WWII 101st Airborne related books. He has been researching the 506th PIR and 101st Airborne for over 25 years. Jake currently serves on the board of advisors for the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum in Media, PA and lectures frequently on the subject of E Company and the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Jake has led numerous tours to the battlefields of Europe.
