About the Band of Brothers Tour:

Major Dick Winters said, "What you have experienced is very special.  This tour is special.  There is nothing else like it."

Says Paul Rogers, "...You can almost see the battles and the awful shelling...You can read a book and enjoy it, but if you go to the places it makes it all so real.  You will never forget this."

Immortalized by the Stephen Ambrose best-seller, Band of Brothers, and brought to millions more in the epic Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks HBO miniseries of the same name, the men of Easy Company were on an extraordinary journey during WWII. From D-Day to V-E Day, the paratroopers of E Company, 101st Airborne, 506th PIR participated in some of the war’s most critical battles and proved to truly be a company of heroes.

Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours has meticulously crafted the original Band of Brothers Tour, a unique tour that follows the path of Easy Company from its training bases in Toccoa, Georgia and England into combat in Normandy, into Holland where we explore Operation Market Garden, then to Belgium, and on to final victory at Berchtesgaden, Adolf Hitler's Alpine retreat.

You'll stand with Easy Company veterans in the very foxholes and precise locations where they fought in some of the most climactic battles of World War II. Our Easy Company Tour is based on the recollections of the paratroopers themselves and the extensive research of Dr. Stephen Ambrose and the editors of Military History Quarterly and World War II magazines, you'll have an experience unparalleled in its accuracy and insight.

On every E Company Tour we have run, we have been fortunate to have at least one member of E Company join us on our tours.  Some of the veterans that have traveled with us in the past are: Dick Winters, Bill Guarnere, Babe Heffron, Earl McClung, Paul Rogers, John Agnew, Forrest Guth, Buck Taylor, Bill Wingett, Paul Miller and Frank Perconte.
